The first step of a long journey: the launch of a seminar series on hospital chaplaincy and work with PTSD

In Dnipro, hosted by the NGO "Ukrainian Association of Chaplains," the first seminar was held in a series of training events devoted to psychological assistance for service members, their families, and civilians who have experienced PTSD, concussions, and blast injuries.

It was a breakthrough — two days of intensive practice, in-depth knowledge, lively exchange of experience, professional collaboration, and God's presence.

Hospital chaplaincy — a strategic area of development for UA Chaplaincy

UA Chaplaincy has served in hospitals for many years, combining spiritual, psychological, and practical support for those affected by the traumas of war. Our chaplains work:

with service members who have experienced PTSD, concussions, and blast injuries,

with their families,

with doctors, surgeons, and rehabilitation specialists,

with psychologists and crisis workers,

with spiritual leaders of various denominations,

with civil society and international organizations.

The goal is to gather the best experience, professional practices, and scientific approaches into a single effective strategy that will give Ukraine the tools to overcome the consequences of the war.

Russia's full-scale invasion has brought the country a wave of trauma on a scale that is only beginning to reveal itself in full force. We are responding to this challenge systematically and professionally.

UA Chaplaincy is building a new model of ministry

We are creating a new quality of chaplaincy ministry in Ukraine:

military chaplaincy,

hospital chaplaincy,

municipal chaplaincy,

sports chaplaincy,

crisis and psychological support,

interdenominational cooperation,

educational programs and the training of specialists.

We are building a new Ukraine.

We are shaping a new society.

We are developing a new chaplaincy — professional, mature, interdenominational, and effective.

We work for results and for people.
